National Law Universities or NLUs are the most popular law schools in India. The NLSIU Bangalore is the first NLU in India established in 1986. Currently, we have 23 national law universities (NLUs) spread across the country. These NLUs are affiliated with Bar Council of India (BCI) and they offer integrated LLB, LLM and PhD programmes in various disciplines.
NLUs in India are single-discipline universities. NLUs in India are among the most desired law schools in the country. NLSIU Bangalore, NLU Delhi, and NALSAR Hyderabad have successfully secured the top three positions for law colleges.

There are two law entrance exams for admission to national law universities (NLUs). The first one is the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) organised by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs). It is a common entrance exam for admission to 22 national law universities (NLUs). Second, the All-India Law Entrance Test popularly known as (AILET) is the only entrance exam conducted and accepted by NLU Delhi.
The national law universities offer 5-year integrated LLB, LLM and PhD courses.
The consortium of NLUs will conduct the offline-based exam CLAT 2022 on May 08, 2022. The exam will be conducted at 82 cities and 147 test centres across the country. The last date of submission of application form is March 31, 2022.

NLU DelhiThe National Law University Delhi was established in 2008 by Act No. 1 of 2008 of Delhi. It is a premier law university in the capital city of India. The university invites online application for admission to multiple law programmes for the academic yr. 2022-23. These are B.A.LL.B. (Hons) 5 year programme (110 seats via merit), LL.M 1 year programme (70 seats on merit) and PH. D. Programme offering 18 seats on AILET merit. The placement cell of the university coordinates with top companies helping students to secure jobs and regularly open new frontiers for brighter prospects.
For admission to BA LLB and LLM programmes of NLU Delhi, candidates must appear in AILET 2022 and pass the examination. Seats availability bases merit, allocation for foreign nationals, migrants & OCI / PIO has been confirmed by the university for ensuring clarity in the admission process.
NLU, Delhi has released the AILET 2022 application form on January 17, in online mode. Candidates can register for All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2022 by April 07. The university will conduct AILET 2022 on May 1, in offline mode. The university has updated the exam pattern and syllabus of AILET UG and PG.

National Law University, Delhi was established in 2008. NLU Delhi is one of the best and leading NLUs in India. The university offers various courses in different specialisations of law like BA LLB, LLM, etc. One of the major reasons for a good ranking of NLU Delhi is its teaching and educational pedagogy, which includes tutorials and seminars by law experts and experienced faculty.
NLU Delhi conducts its own entrance examination known as the All-India Law Entrance Test (AILET) through which it also admits candidates in PhD law courses.
NLU Delhi will conduct the AILET 2022 exam on May 1, 2022 (10 am – 11.30 am). Scores of the exam will be used for admission to 5-year integrated BA LLB, one-year LLM, and PhD programs.
This university was founded in 1989 and offers numerous full-time UG, PG, Doctorate and diploma courses in various fields of management and law. The University also offers part-time programmes under the NALSAR Directorate of Distance Education (DDE). The full-time courses are offered under nine different centres, namely Centre for Constitutional Law, Centre for Family Laws, Centre for Legal Philosophy and more. The university has collaborated with various research centres and universities.
NALSAR admissions for UG & PG programmes are based on CLAT entrance exams scores. However, admission to other courses is done on merit basis. The application process for UG and PG programmes begins in may every year. Candidates, who have completed Class 12th in any stream with an aggregate of 50%, can apply for the same.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) conducts law entrance exams every year for admission to the 3-year LLB and LLM courses offered by Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property of Law (RGSIPL)
IIT Kharagpur provides Masters in Law in 7 specializations under the Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law for the duration of 2 years. IIT Kharagpur LLM is a credit-based course. The minimum requirement to apply for the LLM course at IIT Kharagpur is LLB with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. Candidates need to appear for CET (Common Entrance Test) conducted by the institute.
Jamia Millia Islamia Established in 1989, is a government university that offers nine courses across the streams of management and law. It is ranked 7th for law by NIRF 2021 and 6th for law by Outlook 2020.
JMI BA LLB 2022 Notification will be released by Jamia Millia Islamia for admission to the BA LLB programme offered by the Faculty of Law. The Jamia Millia Islamia conducts the JMI Entrance Test each year for admission into the BA LLB Programme. Candidates who have passed class 12th and are keen on pursuing BA LLB from JMI can take the JMI BA LLB 2021 entrance test.
Symbiosis Law School (SLS), Pune is a private college established in 1977, affiliated to Symbiosis International University and approved by UGC and Bar Council of India. The college offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and research programs in the discipline of law, management, communication, arts and humanities, etc. Admission to the SLS is done on the merit basis of the marks scored in the SET entrance exam conducted by the college.
KIIT Bhubaneshwar was established in 1992 as an Industrial Training Institute and in 2017, the institute was renamed Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology. KIIT is a private academic institution that offers manifold study programs at Undergraduate, Masters and Doctoral levels.
The KIIT Law School offers full-time LL.M. degree in 6 specializations like Corporate and Commercial Law, Legal Pedagogy and Research, Constitutional Law and Administrative Law, Criminal and Security Law, International and Comparative Law, Family Law.
KIITEE Law 2022 applications will be announced soon by KIIT University. This online exam is conducted once every year at the University Level to offer admission to the LLM program.
