DU has announced online registration dates for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the academic year 2021-22 which will be done through cut-offs based on merit, just like the previous year.

According to the university officials UG admissions 2021 begin from August 2nd and the registration window will be open till August 31. Notifying postgraduate programmes, the online registration for DUET for PG/MPhil/PhD starts July 26 with the last date for submission of online form as August 21, 2021. Students who have qualified their respective 10+2 board exams can check the admission notice at the official website


  • All entrance tests will be conducted through NTA’s Computer Based online mode and the number of test centres will be increased for DUET.
  • Eligibility criteria will be retaining same as the previous year.
  • There will be no change in registration fees for merit based and entrance-based admissions or cancellation charges.
  • All the UG courses under DUET, will be merit based and candidates will be offered seats based on their class 12th score except 15 UG courses.
  • DUET-2021 is for all Post-Graduate programmes, selected 15 undergraduate programmes and M.Phil/PhD programmes will be conducted by the National Testing Agency(NTA) for which the dates will be announced soon. This will be the computer based multiple choice test
  • In view of Covid-19 pandemic, the University of Delhi has decided not to hold any offline or online sports and ECA trials this year
  • The University also announced that from this academic year onwards, admissions to Bachelor in Physiotherapy, Bachelor in Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics, and Masters of Physiotherapy will be done through DUET.


  • To make the DU admission processhassle-free, a portal for admissions will also be launched. The admission portal will facilitate the students seeking admission to the university to fill the admission forms, pay fees and check details without any problem from the comfort of their homes.
  • The university will also organise webinars and tutorial videos on university website and on YouTube to help candidates during the admission procedure.
  • To assist the new candidates DU Colleges and departments to have dedicated teams of nodal officers and online help desks and 24×7 enabled chatbot available to facilitate and answer queries of the candidates.
